Shared from a friend, who is part of this closed EDS Athletes group that I participate in. My friend, Laura Backus, has done the IronMan and recently went to Lake Placid and witnessed this amazing womans IronMans finish. No idea if and/or what issues this awesome woman may have (we all have some right?), but theres no denying that the human spirit, the power of believing in yourself and seeing (or having faith) that you WILL cross-over the finish line (whichever one it is in your life), is just incredibly resilient.
