Shared from our messages, one of our fans felt inspired to write this after seeing a post about thin privilege on their feed. - K Thin privilege implies that thin people dont have it as bad as non-thin people. Not true. Everyone gets discriminated against, everyone deals with prejudice. Everyone has had to deal with generally the same sort of shit, and as long as people find something to dislike about you, it will happen. So can we just acknowledge that, and stop complaining about who has it worse? Im just so tired of these tirades about who gets insulted more when theyre at the doctors office, or at a job interview, or the grocery store. Anyone can be insulted anywhere. It happens all the time, and to everyone. We all have it bad, and Im tired of people pretending that they have the only body type in the world that experiences this, because they dont. Body positivity should be about equality, not about who has privilege and who doesnt.
