This is a part of the conspiracy to suppress the ongoing movement of Kashmiris,” Geelani told IMOK. “JK is a conflict zone and theconglomerate won’t allow anynew lawor rule which is detrimental to people.We will resist the government move tooth and nail.I make a fervent appeal to traders andpeople to raise their voice against the diktat.The conglomerate will monitor the developments closely and if need arises formulate a programme to resist this anti-people move.We will alsoextend all support to any programme of the traders against the property tax,” Geelani said. Geelani accused the state government of vandalizing state’s natural resources fortheir “petty interests.” “Thousands of kanals of land across the state is under illegal occupation of Indian forces;our forests andwater bodies have been vandalized in the name of so-called development.Ourwater resources have been sold and people have been left in lurch.
