Even though I watched this race at the time and have also watched this video numerous times, I still am on the edge of my chair, wondering if he will win! LOL! Same thing happened last night when the audience watched this. We all were watching it as if we had never seen it nor knew the outcome. For those in the know about track & field, this race featured more world record holders, Olympic medalists and other ranked runners (past and present at the time), than probably any other Olympic race ever. It is definitely one of the top 3 Olympic races ever with the 10,000 M from the same Olympics, won by Billy Mills of the USA being one of the others.
