Shared via Kristi Uhrhan: If youve wondered What can I do?, heres your chance! Contact your representative and ask them to please stand up for the children of their state by standing up along side their parents! Please dont dismiss Common Core for simply standards. Its much more and parents are the ones taking notice. And, we need our representatives to do their job! I did a little legwork for you, now its your turn. In our local area, Ive only found one representative willing to stand up for our children and sponsor House Bill No 1490. THANK YOU to Holly Rehder (District 148)!!! Please call or e-mail Holly and tell her how much she is appreciate! Phone: 573-751-5471 / E-Mail: [email protected] Now, if Holly isnt your rep and youre in this area, most likely yours is listed below meaning that they are NOT fighting for our children by sponsoring this bill! And, they are NOT listening to the parents who happen to be their constituents and the ones able to vote them out of office! Kevin Engler (District 116) Phone: 573-751-3455 / E-Mail:[email protected] Shelley Keeney (District 145) Phone: 573-751-5912 / E-Mail: [email protected] Donna Lichtenegger (District 146) Phone: 573-751-6662 / E-Mail: [email protected] Kathy Swan (District 147) Phone: 573-751-1443 / E-Mail: [email protected] Steve Hodges (District 149) Phone: 573-751-4085 / E-Mail: [email protected] Please, if you just do one thing in terms of standing up for our childrens education, send one e-mail or make just one phone call! And, feel free to share this to spread the word! When you contact them, also ask them to attend the Common Core meeting in Sikeston, Mo. on Feb. 6th at 6p.m. at Clinton Building!
