Sharing a fun moment. Yesterday I met with my 6 and 7 grade storytelling troupe. It was pick your story day and they eagerly went to work finding just the right tale. Some found theirs more quickly than others and I noticed that the tellers who have been with me for numerous years, went right to work. It wasnt necessary for me to give them any instructions on the next step, they took ownershp and moved to the next phase. The tandem tellers began to highlight their character parts, others went to a separate space and began to read aloud to hear the words, some spoke with me about ideas to adapt their tale, adding audience participation, and more. They made me so proud!
