Sharing a good buzz. Last night while I was spinning some mean new roots records at Homegrown rave, a gentleman came up to shake my hand. He explained that in his younger days he would regularly tune in to The Rhythm Selection radio show on 95bFM and that this experience had changed his life. He didnt want a request or a photo, just the opportunity to thank me in person. I was stoked and humbled. To me, this is what it is all about... To freely share the good vibes that I get from this amazing music over the magic medium of radio or on a grunty sound system. The true reward at the end of the day is exactly this kind of positive effect on the lives of real people. Who feels it, knows it.
