Sharing a story that made my head swell today at school. There are a few students who appreciate my contributions as a substitute teacher. One such student is a junior and the daughter of one of the school counselors. A cheerleader and a leader in the student body. Her mother came up to me this morning and said what a strong influence I had been in her daughters life. She and other students have tuned into some of my beliefs about life. She became curious about a book that I quote, OUTLIERS The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell. My endorsement became a thing to do when her optometrist recommended the book. Her mother said that it was remarkable that she wanted to get a copy of the book ASAP. The mom said her twelve year old is all over the book, as well. I was a little shocked about that. You can understand why my hats arent fitting as well, today :)
