Sharing a strange and funny little memory of my youth, growing up in the Alaskan Arctic in the wilderness. Instead of wanting television, or a bike, or new toys, I dreamed of having a SIDEWALK! Sidewalks were special! You could play jacks and hopscotch on them (never mind that I didnt have other kids my age to play with), jump rope, and run like the wind without having to watch your feet. In the wilderness, there are roots, rocks, fallen logs, uneven ground... all sorts of things to trip you up. And having to watch where my feet landed is what nearly got me eaten by a wolf.
