Sharing as I think this could be helpful should your dog escape or you find a stray wandering. Even though we have a fenced in yard, last summer our neighbour removed a gate between our 2 yards without telling us. Getting home late one night, we didnt see that the gate was gone and Ernie being a little mountain goat, climbed up the stone wall separating our yards and got out. Thankfully I constantly check on him and Baxter when they are in the back yard so when I saw that Ernie was gone, I was out the door like a bolt of lightning. He was headed for a busy road in Ottawa (Carling Ave!) but thankfully I was able to stay calm and actually used the chase me trick to get him to come to me. It was the most terrifying moment Ive experienced since having dogs.
