Sharing my 2012 throwback with you all. I went through so much to get this, and I cannot begin to describe all the emotions I experienced along the way. Several times I did not think I could or would continue. I laid in fetal position, cried, and agonized over the very thought of having to get up and keep going. Were it not for the wonderful, wonderful volunteers (especially Suzanne Hopp Pokorny) Id have never finished my first 100. Things dont always go as planned. I remember expecting to finish between 25:00 and 27:00, and at one point I was down to less than 10 minutes on the cutoff. I ended up finishing in 29:42 and spent many miles in last place. Always believe in yourself, and if you can run, then run. And, if all you can do is walk, do it. Keep putting one foot in front of the other. Nothing compares to the feeling of running down the road to see the finish line come into view after 100 miles.
