Sharing the Exhortation of Sis Desiree Declaro January 17, 2014 Prayer Meeting Ecclesiastes 6:9 “ It is better to be satisfied with what you have than to be always wanting something else.” I am struck by this verse based on my own experience. Before I kept on taking government examnination like Civil Service and Stenographers exams. It is my dream of landing a job in any government office but I failed many times. There were moments that I questioned God why it happened to me. I envied my friends who have high paying jobs in the government. It came to a point that I lost my faith in God and stopped dreaming about my future. I never grabbed any private job opportunities that came to my life because of discouragement. Until I realize that life is beautiful when I started to love myself and serve. May faith in God flourished. I accepted wholeheartedly the providence God has given me in the present moment because I know He has a purpose why it happened. I always live the present moment. So my brothers and sisters, in this year of the Laity, let us be living witnesses of God’s immense love. May we be reminded that material things and possessions will pass away. Let us be contented of what we have. Cross out the negative vibes and let positive thinking fill our minds. We give our 100% faith and trust in God in order for us to overcome our trials. May I invite you brothers and sisters to please stand up. Let us worship the Lord for all the wonderful things HE has done for us as His love is full of gentleness and compassion. Amen.
