Sharing this---no comment, I dont like this throw away society but this girl deserves better! We have decided the best thing for her is to find a forever home for Lily, as we have our hands full with two 20 month old twins babies and a 7 year old Jack Russell. We will be unable to keep her unfortunately. We have ben caring her for a little over a month now. My wife had been working (she is a paramedic) in a very bad part of downtown Atlanta and saw a young dog playing in a busy intersection. When she found Lilly, she was wagging her tail and Rachel could not bear to leave her to get hit by a car on I-20 West. Since there were no flyers and Fulton County is a 4-day kill shelter, we decided to rescue her. She loves to jump, roll around, lick and curl up in blankets. She needs lots of exercise! Lilly deserves a family who has the time for a new puppy with tons of love and energy. To help make this happen, we took her to our vet and confirmed she had not been microchipped or spaded so we had the them perform both, as well as provide the other necessary vaccinations including rabies. We also confirmed she did not have any fleas or ticks. We are hoping this will help her find a home. From what we were told by the vet, she is approx. 7 months old, 45 pounds and a cross between a Labrador Retriever and Pit Bull. She is a kind soul, semi-potty trained and well behaved, except for the occasional puppy nibble and jumping on you in excitement. What we are also hoping is that once she is placed into a good home, we are told since we have grown closer to her through the weeks! If there is anything you can do to pass the word on to anyone who might be able to also help place her in a good home, we would greatly appreciate it and thanks for offering to take a look at her bio.
