After my lovely hot shower I did a thorough facial scrub followed by an application of fresh ginger and pineapple juice on my skin. Why? Pineapple juices acts as a rejuvenating agent to exfoliate unclogs acne pores. Ginger has great anti-oxidant and anti-aging properties along with its astringent properties which comes handy when you are dealing with a stubborn problem like acne While the Pineapple & Ginger juice was doing its best on my skin I made a Pineapple, Lemon, Pink Grapefruit and Apricot fresh drink;- Brief info: Pineapple - is rich in manganese that is necessary to build strong bones and connective tissues. It also has anti–inflammatory properties which when taken regularly, helps to reduce the pain (mild relief) associated with arthritis in elderly. Another benefit of consuming pineapple is that it helps to prevent blood clots. It is a rich source of anti-coagulant. So, people who suffer from bleeding disorders are advised to consume a bowl of pineapples daily. Lemon – it is an excellent liver detoxifiers, lemons contain high amounts of vitamin C, a vitamin needed by the body to make an important substance called glutathione. Glutathione helps the liver detoxify harmful chemicals. Grapefruit - it is an excellent source of antioxidant vitamin-C; providing about 52% of DRI. Vitamin-C is a powerful natural anti-oxidant and helps the body develop resistance against infectious agents and scavenge harmful free radicals. It, furthermore, is required for the maintenance of healthy connective tissue and aids in early wound healing. It also facilitates dietary iron absorption from the intestine. The volatile oils and oleoresins in ginger may have a stimulating effect on both the digestive and circulatory systems to induce cleansing through increased sweating and improved digestion, says "The Encyclopedia of Medicinal Plants. Apricots - are rich in vitamin A, which is a powerful antioxidant, prevents free radical damage in tissues and cells. Especially in the eyes and vision are very useful, such as free radicals can act in Qatar and macular degeneration and destruction of blood flow leading to the eye.
