Sharing (with humble pride) the tradition in my family now. I was on the Connie from 87 to 89, met my wife in San Diego, and celebrated 25 years of marriage this past summer. We have four sons. The one with his girl his arms is my oldest (now out and in college). The pier pic was captured at 32nd St. Naval Station after his 2nd 7 month West Pac. My 2nd son is in the Marines, now back in Japan from Korea. My 3rd is graduating Nuclear Power School in SC this Friday and is headed to New York after coming home this Christmas. My 4th son heads to bootcamp in August as a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst for the Air Force. I am humbled and honored to have served, and I feel the military returned to me far more than I ever gave, and I am filled with pride for my sons, their service and the men they are becoming and have become.
