Sharks Forwards were up for the battle and all we needed to do was kick accurately for territory, that was key to us strangling them into submission. Unfortunatley our kicking game became a nightmare with both Steyn and Lambie just awful in that department. Forwards set the platform early on and our Backs just threw it away. Well done to Marcel Coetzee, what a huge game you had today. His fetching game has come on in leaps and bounds and is the perfect back up to Flo for the Springboks. His work rate reminds me of a very young Schalk Burger. Bismarck was his usual best and Reinach had a better game than last week. Kanko played with heart and had Alberts started at 7 he might have had more of an influence in loose attack but did his job well at the rucks as a no 4. Lewies is our back up 5 to Matfield for the RC and am pretty confident in his ability. Jordaan and Marais you guys were out of your league in this game. For all the pace that Jordaan has his defence and channel play were horribly exposed especially by Read.And Lambie, just not the x factor that we are looking for as opposed to Pollard. As for Steyn, he is just too inconsistent to be a starting Bok. one game he can win on his own and the next lose entirely on his own. Blows hot and cold and thats not what we are looking for. this game might have been more closely contended had we won the terriotory battle.
