Sharon Guatemala Student Mission Trip - Post by Maggie Edenfield! Today was absolutely amazing. I had the opportunity to hold a little girl the probably never gets held. She sat there and every couple of minutes would look up at me almost making sure I hadn’t gone anywhere. Her face is a face I will definitely never forget. I teared up today watching her sitting at the table coloring because I could see the sadness is her eyes. Sitting in a room filled with about 300 people and the look on her face told me that she felt all alone. It is very sad to see the eyes of so many children who are surrounded by loads people yet feel so alone. I am so very glad that God urged me to take this opportunity and I am so glad that I listened. This trip is one I know I will never forget. The relationships that I have already built in just the first four days are amazing. These are the people I will never forget and this is definitely a place I will return to. I’m really excited to see what the next two days hold for me and this group. We are all having an amazing time and I know the rest of this week will be just as amazing. Please continue to pray for all of us from Sharon, all of the Iglesia Del Camino workers, and the children, families, and pastors of Guatemala who we are working with. Thank you!! -Maggie (:
