Sharon took me for my check up today. They always ask if the student doctors can work on me as I guess I am a walking textbook as I have had cancer, a heart attack and a stroke. My doctor always checks what they do. He decided to change some of my medications so he sends in this nice young man to make certain that it would be okay with me. He asked the normal questions such as are you allergic to this or to that, do you have problems with your bladder and is there any possibility that you could be pregnant as this medicine is known to be harmful to a fetus. I thought what a funny question to ask an 85 year old woman but I said no. Sharon then thought it would be cute to say well you better test her just to be sure. Before she could say anything he turned and said okay I will set it up and then left the room. The next thing I know this nurse is in the room wanting to run the test. Sharon was laughing so hard that she couldnt tell her that it was just a joke. After a few tries I convinced her that there was no need to run it. I may have trouble some days remembering who I am but that is one thing I am sure about. Of course Sharon had a good time telling everyone at lunch that I had refused to take a pregnancy test and everyone wanted to know if I had something to hide. Who would think of doing that to their old granny? That girl gets more like me every day. :-)
