Sharp-lobed hepatica grows in rich moist woodlands. We found these growing high on a shady cliff area along the Ghost Town Trail. They come in white, pink or blue. The pointed leaves are the distinguishing characteristic of this spring wildflower. There is also a Round-lobed hepatica. The hepaticas bloom in April and May in our area. Now is the time to look for the spring wildflowers, they come and go quickly.
