Shaykh Ahmad Bazmool (hafidhahullaah) On Shaykh Raslaan (hafidhahullaah) Questioner: Shaykh a big fitnah has come up here in Egypt. We would like your guidance (in this affair). We hear Shaykh Muhammad Sa’eed Raslaan speaking bad about Shaykh Muhammad Ibraaheem and we hear Shaykh Muhammad Ibraaheem speaking bad about Shaykh Raslaan. We would like your advice, which one do you advise us to seek knowledge from? Shaykh Ahmad Bazmool: By Allaah, Yaa Akhee may Allaah reward you; the one that I know and that which has reached me is that Shaykh Khaalid ‘Abdur Rahmaan, Shaykh Abu ‘Abdil A’ala Al Misree, and a group of students of knowledge from Egypt praise Shaykh Raslaan; however they do not praise this second one you mentioned – Muhammad Ibraaheem-. Rather, they mention (Muhammad Ibraaheem’s) mistakes in the Salafi Minhaj. Also I know (personally) that Shaykh Rabee’ praises Shaykh Raslaan. I have also heard that Muhammad Ibraaheem visited Shaikh Rabee’ but like it is said or like Shaykh Rabee himself said with regards to the question when there is a deference of opinion about a person (i.e. paraphrasing Shaykh Rabee’), “Going to the one whom there is no difference of opinion about him takes precedence.” So Alhamdulillaah the Mashaayikh with you in Egypt are well known, benefit from them and refer to them. (The likes of): Shaykh Hasan Al Bannaa, Shaykh Khaalid ‘Abdur Rahmaan and Shaykh Abu ‘Abdil A’ala. They are well known for knowledge, Sunnah and Minhaj. And Shaykh Raslaan as I have mentioned has been praised by those Mashaayikh, hayyaakumullaah. Questioner: Shaykh, may Allaah reward and preserve you O Shaykh.
