It is sad the levels to which Deepak Chaurasia and India News will stoop, to target AAP. As I was busy working on my affidavit at Bhikaji Cama Place I was told that some lady was waiting for me at the AAP Munirka office. The lady kept phoning me. I finally called her to a very public place – Nirulas in Bhikaji cama place. She offered donation and you may see in the video that I say you will be given receipts for the same. She offered donation in cheque and cash and I said we will give you vouchers for the same. The amounts discussed were in thousands and the transcript refers to lakhs. She kept saying and that we want you to participate in a dharna as we are being victimized. To which I answered that I don’t do dharnas. The only one I have ever been on is the Ramleela Maidan one. When she insisted I asked whether she has legal documents. It is ridiculous to imply I was discussing ‘benami’ transactions on the streets of Delhi. All along, I was trying to fob her off and not really paying much attention to some of the conversation as I was in a hurry to complete the process of the nomination.
