She got her primary school education in Togo but came back to Nigeria to complete it and later proceed to Ede muslim grammar School for her high school education. Oyelola is a musician, an actress and a priestess of Ifa and several Orisas. She is the current Head Priestess of Obatala or Iya Oosa for the City of Osogbo in Osun State, Nigeria. Iya Oyelola fluently speaks Yoruba and English. Singing and acting has been part of her life as she started acting and singing on stage since in her high school days with the group she founded with few of her colleagues. She later joined Olokun Asorodayo, a group lead by Chief Yemi Elebuibon. She has featured in several Nigerian Yoruba movies. As an Officiant of a multitude of Traditional Yoruba Ceremonies, Iya Lola has amazing depth of knowledge of Ifa Chants, Verses and Healing Rituals. She is also the co-owner and curator of Onibuaje Art Gallery where she maintains a fine and expansive collection of antique and contemporary Traditional Yoruba Spiritual artifacts (for practitioners and collectors). Her Family Orisa is Osun in which her paternal grandmother was the priestess. She is initiated into Obatala and Olokun. In 2009 she released her first two musical albums entitled Oba Omi (King of River ), Olokun and Osun and Esin O Fa Ja ( Religion Does Not Cause Crisis) for Ifa. She released the third album entitled Tribute to Obatala in 2011.
