She Waits: For all her lonely life, she was afraid Of something she could not name, Nor could she say how it would come. And as the years slipped by she fitfully waited. Attending some unknown fate, That was hers all alone. Attending some unknown fate, all alone. Just by chance comes a man, And she confesses her secret. He understands and believes in her Right from the start. And he agrees to share this mystery burden. And somehow along the way She captures his heart. Somehow along the way He gave her his heart. Years more go by As they await the beast together. She, more obsessed with her fears He falls deeper in love. But he doesnt complain. He doesnt complain. And he goes to his grave With the knowledge His love was in vain. Knowing, but not saying His love was in vain. Too late, too late She knows she could have been saved. Love, peace and joy Were always there to claim. But she lived in fear With no passion or feeling. Now all that is left for her Is sorrow and shame. So much wasted time!
