She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. (Proverbs 31:27) This is a summary verse recounting virtually everything stated in this description of a happy wife who serves a happy family. Attentiveness and diligence are her strong qualities. As you read this entire description, you are impressed with the concern she has for her family and for others. However, her concern is not just in her head or her heart. It also is in her hand. She acts to meet the need. Many today feel sorry for the needs of others but do little to meet those needs. This woman is not idle. She finds meaningful ways to solve the problems she sees. It requires practical action. Her concern begins at home. She is attentive to her children and husband. She understands their ways. She studies each one personally and knows the unique need of each one. She knows that just as one size doesnt fit all in the clothing, so each child has their own temperament and love language.
