She opens her eyes and the barrier of this dam couldn’t resist pouring out the tears her heart was drowning within internally. She saluted the man that served to remind her he wasn’t her opponent but yet she was later defeated when he marched behind enemy lines. So in her journal she imprinted the art of his betrayal, sketching fine print of his deception which permanently changed their story. He was a dog chasing his own tail by believing his own lies. She analyzed every line and started to fish for the truth in her sea of uncertainty. The boxing ring where she wanted to fight for her marriage caged in a woman wounded by time, the same minutes and hours she was told would heal her. Trapped by the truth, betrayal wrapped its conniving ways around her neck forcing her to swallow hardened pills. To her knees she crashed helplessly. Out of breath she envisions the way she had butterflies in her stomach at the first sight of her love. The pain of reminiscing soars through her veins clotting the vain hope of relieving one page in her love story. Paragraphs of his letters trace her back to his voice rapping in her ear, to be loved by somebody that loves you for who you is”, the echoing intensifies to the highest pitch until the ringing becomes silence and her thoughts go quiet.
