She smiled. “Hey how have you been?” But he didn’t smile back. He looked off to the side into the crowd and didn’t say a word. Her smile died. Finally he spoke but with the loud music in the background, she couldn’t hear a word. She grabbed his wrist, “Come here” and she tried to lead him out of the room but he tore his arm from her. “I can’t do this anymore.” He said coldly. She looked at him confused. “I…I was just trying to get away from the crowd so I could hear you better.” He ignored her. “I’m talking to someone else now.” She could feel her chest grow heavy. Her lungs crushing to the point she could barely breathe. “I can’t be seen with you anymore.” Still looking away from her, he took a sip from his red cup. “It’s not…I…” She couldn’t find the words. She had nothing to respond with. Her head was racing, her chest sunk. “Just don’t talk to me anymore.” And still without a glance at her, he walked away. ~Pr!¥@~
