She stands above every monument , courthouse, and Military Installation in America and through out the world... Though tattered and worn through the elements of time, she still waves proudly, strongly. She has been with us through many turmoils, both foreign and domestic, from the beginning of her creation. She has seen many tear-filled eyes; has calmed many war-time fears. Many of the heroes, both old and young, who have loved her and fought for the freedom to see her waving proudly, FREELY, through out the world, have suffered injury, pain and, for some, gone on to their Eternal resting place. She has seen the failures of her government, yet still, she waves with pride. And like her, many of her citizens stand tattered, worn, and tired, yet, we still go on, proud to be a part of this great country. Though many of us may not agree with the policies in place with our government, we are still blessed to be a part of a country in which we have a say to CHANGE those policies, to stand strong and proud for our country, and NEVER , no NEVER give up. She is the first on the battlefield and the last to be handed to a mourning widow, children or mother as one of her heroes is laid to rest. She is handed off to another soldier when the first falls, so she will never touch the dirt. Her colors are strong, and will NEVER run! Her name is Old Glory; a symbol of our freedom, a source of our pride, and a heartfelt love for her endurance. As we celebrate the anniversary of the birth of our Great Nation, let us remember the symbol that brought and keeps us together! ~ Old Glory...Long may she Wave! ~ ~May God bless and keep America; and though it may seem that we have deserted Him, may HE be with Us...ALWAYS!~
