She was known by so many names.....Sara,Sara Ruth,Ruthie momma,cousin,friend. Most simply knew her as Granny. For 27 years I have been fortunate to call her my mother-in-law. Sometimes I would hug her and whisper in her ear... Im your favorite daughter-in-law arent I? lol Her reply was always... You crazy thing you are my only daughter-in-law!. She taught me to make banana pudding from scratch. I know....but yours is not as good as hers. I was even told that today. Can you believe someone would actually say that to my face! How rude! lol Even though we had our ups and downs, we knew we could depend on each other. Sadly today we had to say good-bye to this wonderfully sweet (and sometimes nutty ) lady. You will never be forgotten...... Sara Ruth Elam Beam. I love you and will greatly miss you! Mike and I have cups that are overflowing. You have wrapped our family up in with your love and prayers. They are what help to get us through some extremely difficult times these last few days. We ask that you continue to pray for us. Remember us with a little prayer in a couple of weeks when things get back to normal. We would also like to add that your calls, visits and texts have also been abundantly appreciated along with comments posted here. Please give us some time today to be able to take care of things at home and to rest. We have slept little in two days.We love each of you!
