As his artistic muse & life partner, Aline was delicately immortalized by Renoir in many of his most beautiful & inspired paintings, like The Umbrellas and Dance in the Country. She strikingly coincided with the effeminate ideal the artist had created in his imagination. Aline, a well-built blonde, became the artists model and later his lover. The owner of the atelier, where Aline worked, kept telling her to start looking for a husband - rich, and not too young. But Aline was attracted to her neighbor-artist, although he was not neither rich nor handsome with his sunken cheeks, twitching face, sparse beard, bushy eyebrows, and stooped back. :)
