Sheffield Steelers face twin problem with Arena Steelers are facing a financial double-blow at Sheffield Arena. The club thinks ticket sales for the Boxing Day match with Nottingham Panthers could take a hit as the Arena Box Office is closed from Saturday until Boxing Day itself. A spokesman said: “Steelers apologies for any inconvenience but the box office situation is out of our hands. Fans can still buy tickets between the 20-26th but on-line only. All in person and telephone bookings will cease after the 20th until 10am on the 26th.” Steelers will also lose a prime date in March if boxer Kell Brook stages fights at the Arena on March 7 – when Belfast Giants are supposed to be in town. n Sheffield Steeldogs says Janis Ozolins has returned to them a better player.
