Sheikh Turi visits renowned scholars in Kano: As part of Rabi’ul Awwal commemoration, Ameer of Kano zone of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Muhammad Mahmoud Turi has on Wednesday morning embarked on visits to renowned scholars in Kano city. Sheikh Turi and his entourage, students of His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky were at the Gidan Sharifai, where they were received by Sharif Wakili, who represented Khalifah Shehu Al-Maghili (who has been sick). Sharif Wakili, while expressing gratitude for the visit, also called for more commitment to the promotion of love of the Ahlul Bayt (AS). Also speaking, Sharif Munzali said, the regular visits signifies love and affection of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) and their lineage being promoted by students of Sheikh Zakzaky annually. He also used the occasion to condole Sheikh Zakzaky and members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria for the brutal murder of peaceful protesters during last Quds Day, among which were three of Sheikh Zakzaky’s sons. Sheikh Turi extended greetings and goodwill message of His Eminence Sheikh Zakzaky to the scholars in this blessed month of Rabi’ul Awwal. He emphasized the obligation of holing firm to the Holy Qur’an and the Ahlul Bayt (AS), as commanded by the Holy Prophet. According to him, had the Ummah heeded to the last will and testament of the Holy Prophet, it would not have found itself in the present predicamen t. Sheikh Turi was also at the residence of Khalifah Shehi Maghili, where he is bedridden. Maghili, who was highly pleased with the visitors, extended condolence to Sheikh Zakzaky for the martyrdom of his three sons. A special prayer session was observed led by Khalifah Maghili before departure.
