ShelMaries episode/update: She had been folding laundry on our bed and watching TV. She was feeling nauseous so I was taking care of the kids downstairs. She got up and began putting away the laundry and felt a tight pop in her chest and immediately got dizzy like she was going to pass out. Her chest felt tight and heavy, and her heart began to race. Also, her jaw became immediately sore along with a splitting headache. Even after lying down for about a half hour, her heart was racing at over 200 bpm. We called 911. First responders were just as concerned over the heart rate and high blood pressure. They gave her oxygen and about 20 minutes into the drive to the hospital her heart rate came down. But her blood pressure was up and down and up and down erratically. They did a bunch of tests and ekg all through the night. They dont know what it is. They know what it isnt. Not a heart attack, not a stroke, not a blood clot. All labs came back normal. The most likely cause was a reaction to the energy drink she had without enough to eat. We pray thats all it was. Scary though. She needs rest and has to follow up with stress testing to further rule out heart issues. Thanks for prayers and concerns!
