Shelburne - Mansfield - Northern Dufferin County 5:36 PM EDT Friday 19 July 2013 Tornado warning for Shelburne - Mansfield - Northern Dufferin County upgraded from Severe thunderstorm warning At 5:30 EDT, a funnel cloud has been reported just southwest of Bradford associated with a line of storms moving southward across Dufferin and northern York region. This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Go indoors to a room on the lowest floor, away from outside walls and windows, such as a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet. Leave mobile homes, vehicles, tents, trailers and other temporary or free-standing shelter, and move to a strong building if you can. As a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris. Tornadoes are likely wrapped in rain and may not be visible. Do not wait to see a funnel cloud.
