Shelly shared--Frustrated! I had a LAKA on 10/4/13 as a result of osteosarcoma. Im trying to get my first prosthetic, my insurance company is Cigna, and they denied my c-leg and foot. I am wondering if other folks have this insurance company and have had problems obtaining their prosthetic. Cigna just had(omitted) video tape me walking and sent it to them as well. I am considering contacting the insurance commission in my state and possibly some state reps. I went back to work about a week after my amputation. I am still not cleared to do field work because my job requires me to do home inspections at least 50 % of my day. My mobility and security is just as important in my job as it is in my personal life. Just frustrated and looking for advice from fellow amputees who have been through the same thing I am currently going through.
