Shelter life is difficult for all animals. How do you really show - TopicsExpress

Shelter life is difficult for all animals. How do you really show off your best side when you are scared, in an unfamiliar place with smells and people you dont recognize? For some kitties, its just too hard to overcome, and you get labeled un-adoptable. Some sot in solitary cells for months, waiting for their new caregiver. Sometimes you need to be in a real home, with consistent people, to really prove how much love you have to offer a human companion. Broken Shovels is so excited to announce that we will now be a transfer facility for the neediest and most urgent cats at Denver Animal Shelter. We will provide some rehab and individual attention to let these guys blossom in a gentle environment and once they are certified friend material, are offered for adoption to good homes. Right now, we have Millie, Malachi, Noble and Maggie. It has taken a few days, but they are all very sweet and eager to find a permanent human companion. All do well with other cats, and in fact, are thankful for the opportunity for the enrichment of other cats around. I will be highlighting each one in more detail this week. Please contact us if you would like to offer a home to a new cat friend to arrange a meeting. As each are adopted, it opens up a spot for the next desperate animal needing some special attention to assist in finding a new home. Thanks so much to all who have supported this project already. It is changing four little lives right now.
