ShelterBox is currently liaising with other aid agencies - TopicsExpress

ShelterBox is currently liaising with other aid agencies responding to the recent flash floods in northern Afghanistan to see if we are able to help support affected families. Our first disaster response in Afghanistan in ShelterBoxs history was in February 2002. Drought and fighting forced tens of thousands of families to flee their homes – many ended up in huge camps in the western Herat province and across the border in Pakistan. ShelterBox sent 163 boxes. Some of these boxes were used in refugee camps in northern Pakistan, the others were sent to Maslakh, a huge camp near Herat. In both cases the boxes were delivered via Feed The Children International.
