Shepherd Supply School Supply Drive : THANK YOU Shepherd Supply has been preparing for our 18th Annual School Supply Drive and may I say : THANK YOU … to our supporting Churches and families. ACMAR UMC ALDEN GLEN COMMUNITY BETHEL BAPTIST COMMUNITY PRESBYTERIAN FAIRVIEW FREEWILL BAPTIST HAPPY HOME BAPTIST MOODY FIRST BAPTIST MOODY FREEWILL BAPTIST MOODY UMC RIC AND TERRI LINDLY SULFER SPRINGS BAPTIST THE GATHERING PLACE LIFE GROUPS TRINITY As always, you have exceeded your pledge for the Moody Community School Supply Drive . Our children will be given ALL of the supplies they need to attain success for the grade that they are entering. Most of you do not know the process so here it is: We are contacted by schools , individual teachers, churches, DHR Social workers, individual community members, local ministries and other entities. We also select families from our ongoing lists of clients. This enables SSI to contact families in the Moody Community we know will have a need for school supplies. We know where the supplies are going, that they will be used , not sold or traded , and that the Childs needs are being met. This method provides financial and emotional relief for the children’s caregivers, ensures that the money YOU have invested ( without fanfare or attention ) will support the children of The Moody Community, as well as , makes the teachers jobs a little easier so that they can focus on teaching and most importantly gives the child confidence that no matter what the situation is at home…THEY ARE PREPARED TO DO THEIR BEST! A personal note here ***DON’T UNDERESTIMATE a child. They are usually very smart little people. I always told my own children that their only job was to do the very best they could in school and that was how they could best help me ! Children NEED purpose. They Need to know that everything they do has value to the family. That’s all I’m going to say about that ! *** Again ….Thank You for being vessels of provision !
