Shepolopolo set for Rwanda friendly SHEPOLOPOLO coach Charles Bwale says the team is shaping well ahead of Tuesdays friendly match against Rwanda in Lusaka. The Shepolopolo face Zimbabwe in the final qualifying round of the 2014 African Women Championship. In an interview yesterday, Bwale said the game against Rwanda would provide good exposure for the new players currently in camp. The game against Rwanda is the preparatory match we are going to have before we play Zimbabwe. We want to look at each and every player that we havent seen. It will be a good exposure for other players as well. We need to see how best they can contribute to the team, he said. Bwale said the team had only one injury concern, while the technical bench had included two players from the Under-17 girls team. Kabange Mupopo sustained a hamstring injury while in Mauritius. She is on light training. We got three players from the Under-17 - Martha Tembo, Hazel Nali and Jane Mubanga. Unfortunately for Jane Mubanga, while in Costa Rica, she sustained a knee injury. She is ruled out. At the moment we just have two Under-17 players in the team, said Bwale. We are shaping well as the team. We are not breaking camp until we play Zimbabwe. Shepolopolo reached the final round after seeing off Tanzania 3-2 on aggregate. Zimbabwe host Zambia in the first leg tie set for the weekend of May 23 to 25 in Harare. The return leg is scheduled for the weekend of June 6 to 8 in Lusaka. This years African Women Championship will be held in Namibia in October.
