Sheranga Perera’s singing is steeped in Jazz tradition that draws upon a world of influences from many a Jazz greats. In an effort to expand her musical horizons she joined Leeds College Of Music, UK, the most renowned jazz conservatoire in Europe and graduated with her BA (Hons) Music (Jazz). She has been mentored by Jazz maestro Tim O’dwyer (Australia) and under accomplished Jazz vocalist and active educator Maya Nova (Finalist – Montreux Jazz Festival). Her noteworthy showcases have earned her standing ovations at musical venues such as Blu Jazz, The Vortex, Wigmore Hall, SEADOM Dinner hosted for all the music directors of South-East Asia to name a few. Her recent works include compositions for the British Association for Songwriters, Composers and Artists (BASCA). A Member of The Audio Engineers Society (AES), USA, Sheranga is a qualified music producer from the University of Surrey, UK, and has also experimented with short film productions in the UK. Sheranga is also affiliated to Songhall Hall Of Fame (SHoF), USA.
