Sheriff Rick Followell reports that on 10/12/2014 at approximately 11:31pm, Deputy Nathan Tompkins was on patrol and stopped a 2005 white Ford Explorer. Taylor Lemons was driving the vehicle and Brianna Ackenback and Daniel Minor were also in the vehicle. Tompkins impounded the vehicle for expired plates and upon taking inventory of the items in the vehicle, Tompkins noticed a handgun, a syringe, and what he recognized to be methamphetamine in the back seat. Daniel Minor was sitting where the items were found. Minor was arrested and searched. He was found to also be in possession of pills that were identified as alprazolam, a schedule 4 controlled substance. He was arrested for possession of a handgun without a permit, possession of meth, possession of a syringe, possession of a controlled substance, and visiting a common nuisance. Taylor Lemons was found to be in possession of a syringe that contained a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Lemons was arrested and searched. She was also found to be in possession of paraphernalia and marijuana. Lemons was arrested for the charges as well as maintaining a common nuisance. Brianna Ackenback was arrested for visiting a common nuisance.
