Sheriff suspects Ida County men in Odebolt burglary Odebolt, Iowa - Three Ida County men are being held in the Sac County Jail on $12,000.00 bond after they were arrested on November 21, 2014. A report was received from the Ida County Sheriff’s Office around 12:15AM on a possible burglary at 1821 330th Street which is 1 ¼ miles East of Odebolt on Hwy 175. A deputy checking the area located a car sitting in the middle of the road in the 3200 mile of Jackson Ave. The deputy made contact with 19-year old Wesley Archie Euchner outside of the car. Inside of the car the deputy could see that it was full of tools. During a search of Euchner, a cut padlock was located in his pocket. Foot prints in the snow indicated that two other people had fled the area on foot. A search of the area was conducted by both Sac and Ida County Sheriff’s Deputies. A short time later a call was received from a farm place near the 3200 mile of Jackson. Law enforcement was told that this individual stated that he had been a in a car crash. Deputies responded and located 23-year old James Anthony Tingle of Ida Grove. Statements and supporting evidence puts Tingle with Euchner and he too was taken in to custody. During the subsequent investigation the third person involved was identified as being 19-year old Connor James Hemer of Arthur. Deputies from both Sac and Ida County went to Hemer’s residence in Arthur but were unable to locate him. Mid-morning of November 21, 2014, Hemer contacted the Sac County Sheriff’s Office and turned himself in. Euchner is charged with Burglary 3rd, theft 2nd both class “D” felonies, possession of burglary tools and aggravated misdemeanor and driving while suspended. He is being held after his initial appearance by a Sac County Magistrate on $12,300.00 cash bond. Tingle and Hemer were also charged with burglary 3rd, theft 2nd and possession of burglary tools. Their bond is set at $12,000.00 cash.
