Sheriffs Office Delivers Baskets to Needy Families Once Halloween is over, Susie Gauthier of Special Services begins sending out e-mails to all St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s office personnel, soliciting money for Thanksgiving food baskets for needy families in St. Charles Parish. Sheriff Champagne was the first to respond this year with a generous donation. With the donations received, Special Service employees Captain Patrick Yoes, Michelle Joseph, Susie Gauthier, Joyce Gullage and Sgt. Dwayne LaGrange (photo #1) were able to deliver baskets to eleven families this year. One mother stated she had 10 children and without the food basket, she would not be able to provide a Thanksgiving meal this year. Upon delivery, all families stated their appreciation and asked that we thank the Sheriff’s Office for this assistance.
