Sheriff’s Deputies who are members of NCLEA are upset and concerned over union officials not consulting all of the union members for endorsing a political candidate. Today, KPVM News 46 was contacted about several deputies that belong to the NCLEA union. They are upset and concerned that the union is endorsing sheriff candidate Sharon Wehrly without a vote from all the members of the union. The Sheriff Deputies tell KPVM News 46 that they were not offered a chance to vote in support of a candidate and are upset that the union President David Boruchwitz has not contacted all of its members for such a vote before the offer of endorsement. The deputies received an email from Sharon Wehrly thanking them for their endorsement. Those deputies were not happy to learn that this had transpired without their knowledge. They are asking why they were not contacted for such an important endorsement and do not agree with the union. These members say they were not given the chance to make a choice to vote for Sharon Wehrly and/or Rick Marshall, we were told. More to come….
