Sherman, born in my garden some years ago, rest on my lap. I had been to the Greek and Roman Galleries. Earlier a restless mind,, gave way to a entirely freeing thought. The history of our past, is evident in part to the materials they were carved from, frescos, preserve the days as well. To have lived during the Roman or Geek empires would have been a witness to in my view the purity of art and expression. Born in my garden now protected and nurtured Sherman. In his existence he is completely satisfied and I have begun to understand his being as close to it all. , as any living creature could hope to be. Content with his world, it occurred to me that animals posses an ancient knowledge. They in fact have greater meaning that a stone sculpture or a cruel government. History it seems only evolves when we learn from our past. It seems that in fact that has been the most difficult lesson to recall. Sherman is still at rest,, and soon he will wake,, I have some treats for him , there named Fancy Feast. School is four days away.. my hands ache for to be busy. Have the best Holiday my dearest of friends. • Mosaic of Zeus and Ganymede, Roman, mid-Imperial, 2nd century A.D. • Marble portrait of Marcus AureliusRoman, Antonine period, A.D. 161-180 • Marble portrait of the emperor Caracalla • Marble portrait Constantine
