Sherri shared--Today, 6/22 is my one year Ampuversary. I was born with a partial tibia in my right leg which was also 2 inches shorter than the left due to NF type I. 3 years ago my tibia fractured and would not heal so I decided to amputate vs reconstructive surgery. Ive had enough with surgeries. I use to regret having the amputation in the beginning because of Mr. Phantom Pain and his family but now I have no regrets. Having my leg amputated was the best decision I made. My right leg is still shorter (yes, I said leg because I still have a thigh and a knee) my right leg is still shorter than my left....by ole... Lets say 1ft. Lol. But with my wonderful Snoopy prosthetic, theyre both even. I couldnt be any happier. Can you believe I still have more shrinking to do?! My leg is going to be a pencil when its done.
