Shes an Incredible Mrs: Elongated Woman! From Detective Comics #457 (March, 1976), Sue Dibny takes on the guise of The Elongated Woman in Make Way For The Elongated Woman! by writer Bob Rozakis & art by Kurt Schaffenberger. When a gang of crooks captures the powerless Ralph Dibny (AKA The Elongated Man), his wife Sue dons one of his spare costumes and shows up for the rescue displaying stretching powers. She explains that she has eaten some of the special rubber tree bark that gives Ralph his abilities and while the bad guys chew bark trying to gain the same powers, she dribbles a draught of gingold down to her imprisoned husband. Once again able to stretch, Ralph and his pliable bride take out the hoodlums together. Only later does Sue admit that she faked the powers with collapsible suits and accordion arm and leg extensions in a suit she had made for her. This was the only appearance of Sue as Elongated Woman.
