Shinseki is out; why is Miata Kargbo still in office? Talking about accountability: United States Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Eric Shinseki apologized in public and then resigned this morning for his failure to prevent long wait times (leading to a number of deaths) for veterans awaiting medical treatment and for his agencys fraudulent maintenance of two set of patient appointment books at the cited VA hospitals. In Sierra Leone on the other hand, the reckless and incompetent Minister of Health still maintains her office even after failing to create adequate education and awareness regarding the Ebola virus in border towns in Kailahun, failing to maintain functioning testing equipment in the area since March, locating testing center far away from potential affected zone, ridiculing herself in the media by blaming the victims and understating the severity of the spread of what is now an epidemic.
