Wilhelmsen Ships Service operates the worlds largest maritime services network, with 4,500 marine professionals servicing 2,400 ports in 125 countries. Last year the company made product deliveries to 24,000 vessels and handled 54,000 port calls. WSS specialises in the provision of market leading port services, maritime logistics, equipment and products, marine spares, as well as safety and refrigeration services. Based in Weipa, Ships Agency Operator reports to the Ships Agency Service Manager and is primarily responsible for; •Organising and managing vessel movements in and out of Weipa and surrounding ports •Ensuring all matters requiring attention by ships are handled efficiently during their stay in port •Proactively on-selling marine products, technical services and maritime services to customers •Ensuring the optimum use of system applications developed by the Company Skills required; •Previous ship agency preferred however ongoing training is available to the right candidate •Strong computer skills •Excellent communication and customer service skills Shipping is a 24/7 operation so out of hours and weekend work will be required however an attractive salary package is offered which includes: subsidised company housing and a fully maintained company vehicle. seek.au/job/27857652?tracking=JMC-0000787
