Shiver on the River Set for January 1st Paris, Tenn. - The Annual Shiver on the River, Chillin for the Children fundraiser will be held Thursday January 1, 2015 at Paris Landing State Park Boat Ramp at 11am. The event has become a big success over the last few years as it helps raise money for the R.E.A.L. Hope Youth Center. Individuals who take part are asked to donate $25 for the cause and those donations includes a plunge or wade into the water of Kentucky Lake, a souvenir T-shirt, and brunch at Paris Landing State Park Restaurant. There will be trophies awarded to the individual and groups that raise the most money in sponsorships for the cause. Everyone is invited to wear costumes to the event as well and a prize for most outrageous outfit will be given away.
