Shobana Jeyasingh presented one of her works, Bruise Blood, to six - TopicsExpress

Shobana Jeyasingh presented one of her works, Bruise Blood, to six academics chosen for their professional interest in the human body, and asked them to comment on it from their specialist perspective. On 21 March, Jeyasingh will unveil these films at an event in the Anatomy Lecture Theatre, Strand Campus. In conversation with her academic collaborators, she will look back on the connections forged during this journey, and the paths of intrigue that have stemmed from it: what can the neurons of zebra-fish cells teach a choreographer? How does her work provoke new thoughts on the issue of urban displacement? The Anatomy Lecture Theatre is located on Kings College Londons Strand Campus. It is located on the 6th floor of the Kings Building. It is also known as the Old Anatomy Lecture Theatre or Room K6.29. The main entrance to the building is on the Strand - from there walk down the corridor past the Great Hall and take the lifts up to the 6th floor. Alternatively you can enter from the quad next to Somerset House and go straight ahead to the lifts. The nearest underground station is Temple, also within walking distance are Covent Garden and Holborn. The Anatomy Theatre is a traditional raked lecture theatre with wooden seats within a listed building. Seating is on a first-come-first served basis. We ask you not to sit on the first three rows as viewing from this angle could become uncomfortable. If you have any questions or special requirements please email [email protected].
